The New England Diocese of the Lutheran Orthodox Church welcomes you.
I am humbled to serve as the Archbishop for congregations, home churches and individual ministries here in New England. In addition to my ministerial duties I am the Executive Vice-President for the LOC and provide support, guidance and counsel at an administrative level. My wife and I reside in New Hampshire with our two children and have a considerable extended family both personally and in the Church. We both have a long history in ministry, counseling and serving our neighbors as we preach HIS Inspired Word.
Martin Luther stated, "I'd rather that all my books would disappear and the Holy Scriptures alone would be read..." We believe that The Bible is THE WORD OF GOD. We feel that it is our responsibility to preach HIS word without regard for the current political or social climate and no matter how unpopular or inconvenient HIS teaching may be viewed by some. We do this while still remaining welcoming to all people of all beliefs and communities.
The Lutheran Orthodox Church (LOC) is a Lutheran Church in valid and historic Apostolic Succession. We hold ourselves very close to the traditions of Martin Luther and his early followers, and consider ourselves a Catholic (Lutheran rite) denomination in the Evangelical Catholic tradition, celebrating traditional Catholic observances and feasts.
We celebrate two Sacraments; Baptism and the Eucharist (Holy Communion). We also recognize five Sacramental Rites; Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders (Ordination), Extreme Unction (Anointing of the Sick), and Penance (Reconciliation).
Our services follow a prescribed format - an easy-to-follow liturgy, hymns, a short homily, and the celebration of Holy Communion. Many of our Ministers wear formal vestments during services while others choose to wear a simple clerical collar.
All believers are welcome at our services. We hope that you will find our congregations open and friendly, and our services spiritually uplifting. Anyone who is baptized and believes in Our Lord Jesus Christ is invited to participate in the Eucharist (Holy Communion). We pray that you remain refreshed in body and soul as you leave to go about your daily lives, always in wonder and awe of the awesome God we serve, the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Hear the word of our Lord:
"Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry."
2 Timothy 4: 2-5
In these modern times many people and even churches are turning away from sound doctrine and the teaching of our Father. Social pressures and leanings are taking priority over the laws of God. DO NOT BE MISLED. There are many wolves in sheep's clothing willing to ignore or sugar coat the teachings of the Bible and preach instead what is popular and what people WANT to hear. A true shepard watches over and leads their flock, even if the path is rocky.
May you be Blessed and remain under the watchful protection of Christ our Savior, Amen.
